Dr Walser Dental again among the Top 100 Innovators

That is the result of the this year’s nationwide comparisons between companies „TOP 100“. In the category innovative success the company takes the leap into the Top 10 one year before.
That was the first time, that a medical firm takes the leap into the Top 10 in the categorie innovative success.
Within the Economic Initiative outstanding innovative management of medium-sized companies has been determined in 2007 for the 15th time. Lothar Späth, former Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, awards the seal of approval to the company from Radolfzell at a ceremonial act in the Phönixhalle in Stuttgart.
The mentor of the medium-sized business project appreciates the merits of Dr. Walser Dental in the central categories “innovative success”, “innovation climat”, “innovative processes” and “organization”, “innovation stimulation Top-management” and “innovative marketing”.
Especially regarding the innovative service and innovative products the company of Radolfzell earned rave reviews and classes among the innovation élite for the second time in succession.
Thus, the manufacturer of dental instruments has been élected into the Top 3 of “International Best Factory Award” in Berlin this year and has been appointed to one of the top companies in this category. Short time later the company has been honoured in the House of Economy in Stuttgart by Minister Pfister and Bishop Dr. Fürst for social responsibility. Actually, the company is nominated for the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” of the medium-sized business.
Thus, Dr. Walser Dental GmbH has been developing with Walser Matrices an instrument which makes the work of many dentists much easier. Carious teeth can be filled without any problem with the self-tensionning matrices which automatically adapt themselves to every tooth shape.
The latest coup are the O-shape matrices which can be used for all tooth shapes with one side deep caries. Time is the decisive factor making the company of the dental specialist so successful for it is time the company invests into new developments. Thus, a great part of the working time is used for the development of new ideas.
The company also take time for their customers and these customers finally save a lot of time because the products from the Lake of Constance are so easy to apply. It is a recipe for success: The matrices and the special forceps are exported into more than 80 countries and applied by tenthousands of dentists worldwide. “TOP 100” seaks and promote medium-sized companies impressing with innovative power.
The search is undertaken by innovative experts of the “Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien” under the management of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. By means of a questionnaire the specialists first of all gather the innovative potential of the candidates, a second questionnaire serves to the evaluation of central aspects of the innovation management. The individual results are summarized by Prof. Franke in a detailed benchmarking report for the winning companies.
Mr. Daiger, managing director and owner of Dr. Walser Dental is pleased: “Thus, this award has a concrete profit for us besides the image winning. With the strength-/weakness analysis, we can go on optimizing our innovative management on the basis of a funded scientific interpretation”. The medium-sized business initiative is organized by Compamedia GmbH, Überlingen. All the 100 companies are presented in the book “TOP 100 – Die 100 innovativsten Unternehmen im Mittelstand“, edited by Späth.
Mentor of the project is Lothar Späth. Project partner are the „Fraunhofer Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.“, the „RKW – Rationalisierungs- und Innovationszentrum der Deutschen Wirtschaft e. V.“, the „Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik (VDE)“ and the „Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI)“. Mediapartner is the „Süddeutsche Zeitung“. The scientifc management attends to Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke of the“Institut für Entrepreneurship und Innovation der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien“.
