UTEC Strengthens Capabilities With Key Personnel Appointments

(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 11/03/11 -- UTEC Survey International, Ltd. announced the appointment of Kevin McBarron as Managing Director for UTEC's U.K., Mediterranean and West Africa region. McBarron will be replacing Ken Adams who was recently promoted to Chief Technical Officer in Houston.

In his new role, McBarron will lead UTEC's U.K., Mediterranean and West African business unit with a focus on growing core services alongside the introduction of additional complimentary service lines.

McBarron most recently served as the managing director of the Aberdeen based subsea equipment specialists, CDL. McBarron has more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry and has served as an offshore surveyor, party chief and project manager on developments across the world, spanning from South America to South East Asia. McBarron received his degree from the University of Glasgow.

Adams has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining UTEC in 2009, Adams held senior management positions at Nautilus Minerals and prior to that at Canyon Offshore.

Adams is a graduate of the Robert Gordon University with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He also received his master's degree from Aberdeen University and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
