Major Milestones Mark 2011 for Canadian Motorcycle Racing
A Strong 2012 Canadian Superbike Championship is shaping up
(firmenpresse) - CONCORD, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/04/11 -- The 2011 Canadian motorcycle racing season has proven to be a historical one for many reasons. For the first time ever, the Canadian Superbike Championship will be televised in 3D quality, giving viewers the impression of literally "being there" to experience the adrenalin in person. 2011 also marked the birth of a new and exciting series of racing, namely the Canadian Harley-Davidson® XR1200® Cup. This series made ripples among enthusiastic fans when it was first launched in the U.K. and the U.S., and as was to be expected, it immediately attracted a strong following in Canada.
The 2011 Canadian Harley-Davidson® XR1200® Cup delivered the promised adrenalin over seven rounds. And once that was over, Canadian racers represented Canada south of the border at the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200® event at the Red Bull Indy Grand Prix in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 27 and 28 by placing in several top-ten finishes.
Credit for the success of this new Canadian series is due to the many supportive Harley-Davidson® Retailers in Canada, as well as to the expertise of CSBK, the organization that is managing the Canadian Superbike Championship.

With the closing of the 2011 racing season, all of the typical "off-season" preparations and negotiations are underway. CSBK will be announcing the official 2012 schedule in time for the Toronto Motorcycle Show, which will be hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from December 9 to December 11.
Coverage of the 2011 series tour will begin on the radX network on Monday, November 7, 2011, with the debut screening of the two and a half hour programming block known as "Parts Canada Motorcycle Mania" part-sponsored by Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada. Television coverage co-producers, Whistlestop Productions and Professional Motorsports, intend to continue with event coverage in 2012.
