By offering would-be traders the opportunity to train on their comprehensive trader programme, STA will guarantee a trading position to successful candidates after completion of the course, regardless of their qualifications.
STA's Professional Trader Programme (PTP) assumes selected trainees have no prior knowledge of the finance industry and gives candidates from any background the opportunity to at no cost to themselves and without the assumed pre-requisites of specific financial or mathematical qualifications.
Matt Silvester, Head of Training at STA says: 'Candidates accepted onto the course during our Apprentice-style selection process come from diverse backgrounds. The intensive PTP course runs over a four week period starting with an assumed zero knowledge of the trading process and building up to the more complex specifics of the markets and trading. The programme quickly develops providing trainees an in-depth understanding of the role of a trader and teaches the skills and attitude required to succeed.
The course combines theory, psychological assessment and hands-on practical skills using STA's state-of-the-art trading simulator and training facility in their London office maximising trainees' potential to secure a trading job at Schneider.
