Orders from Otrum related to new product
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - (2009-11-19) Kitron has received confirmation from Otrum to be chosenas supplier for their new ODM product. Kitron has assisted Otrum inthe industrialisation of the product and has now been chosen assupplier also for the volume manufacturing, following a process whereother vendors have been involved.The industrialisation has taken place in Kitrons NPI (New ProductIntroduction) department in Arendal, while the volume manufacturingwill take place at Kitrons factory in Lithuania. The new product isexpected to have a turnover for Kitron totaling approximately NOK 35million over a three year period. The product will be inmanufacturing in the second quarter of 2010.Kitron has a long history as supplier to Otrum, but Otrum has alsoutilised other EMS suppliers.
