Highpower International, Inc. to Hold Annual Shareholder Meeting
Analysts & Institutional Investors Invited to Tour Headquarters Following Annual Meeting
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY and SHENZHEN, CHINA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/11 -- (NASDAQ: HPJ), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) and lithium batteries and related products, today announced that it will hold its Annual Shareholder Meeting on November 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. China Standard Time. The meeting will be held at Highpower's headquarters, which are located at Building A1, Luoshan Industrial Zone, Shanxia, Pinghu, Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong, 518111, People's Republic of China.
At the meeting, the following proposals will be submitted for shareholder approval, as fully described in the proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and distributed to shareholders on October 28, 2011.
The election of five directors to the Board of Directors; and
Ratifying the appointment of Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the year ending December 31, 2011.
Shareholders of record as of October 14, 2011 will be eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting.
