Swinton Commercial Reveals the Nation's Most Memorable Vans

(firmenpresse) - MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/11 -- A recent survey has revealed the nations top 5 favourite famous vans of all time. The survey carried out by Swinton Commercial, the UK's leading high street retailer of , has ranked the nation's most memorable vans of all time based on results from 1,500 van drivers.

Results of the survey found that a staggering 74% of UK van drivers voted for the classic American 1983 GMC G series owned by The A Team. According to more than half of drivers surveyed, the bulky 'macho' machine would make the ideal work van.

The poll found that there were only two British vans ranked in the top 5 including Postman Pat's van and the Only Fools and Horses yellow Reliant Robin owned by Del Boy. More than half of drivers said they would never be seen driving Del Boy's van as it's 'too embarrassing' and 5% surveyed admitted they would love to own Postman Pat's van.

The survey saw Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine take third place while Dumb and Dumber's 'shaggin wagon' came in at fifth place.

According to the survey the 5 most memorable vans were:
