Correction: Elisa successful in the Finnish LTE spectrum auction
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Elisa's stock exchange release stated incorrectly "50 GHz" whichshoud be "total 50 MHz" as corrected below.The auction for the LTE 2.6 GHz spectrum ended on 23 November 2009.LTE is the evolution for the third generation (3G) mobile network.Elisa won the competitive, total 50 MHz spectrum. The fee for thelicense is EUR 834,700. The license is valid until 2029.LTE enables faster than current mobile broadband connections. LTE canbe utilized either in the auctioned 2.6 GHz or in the lower 1800 MHzspectrum. Elisa has spectrums that can be utilised in appropriatetechnology. This enables determined long term service offering to ourcustomers.Mobile broadband speed can also be increased by upgrading the current3G network.
