Turkey Dubbed Flirtiest, Most Social Country With the Most Forward Men; UK Deemed to Have the Most Forward Women

Among the results Tagged found that Turkey is the most social and most flirtatious country of the world's top-25 most populous countries. Turkey was also found to have the most forward men, while the United Kingdom lays claim to the most forward women.
According to an in-depth review of the social networking patterns of almost 4 million unique active users in September and October 2011, Tagged found that Turkey was the "most social" country, with its users sending 173 friend requests per active user, far more than any other country. Rounding out the top-five most social countries were Egypt (98 friend requests), France (75 friend requests), Italy (74 friend requests) and the U.S. (70 friend requests).
When analyzing the most flirtatious nations, Tagged found that Turkey also leads the pack, with its users sending 25 online virtual "winks" per active user. Just behind Turkey were Italy (24 winks), France (20 winks), Germany (17 winks) and Brazil (16 winks). The U.S. finished in sixth place with 15 winks sent per active user.
Tagged also evaluated the countries with the "most forward" women and men, measured by the number of female-to-male and male-to-female requests. Tagged found the U.K. to have the most forward women, with each active user sending about 10 requests. Rounding out the top five countries were the U.S. (nine requests), Philippines (seven requests), Brazil (six requests) and Thailand (five female-to-male requests).
When Tagged reviewed the countries with the "most forward" men, it followed the exact same order of the "most social" countries. Turkey again led with each active male user sending 167 requests. Following Turkey were Egypt (93 requests), France and Italy (tied with 69 requests), and the U.S. placing fifth (58 male-to-female requests).

Tagged researchers provided insight on some of the findings, noting:
Turkey was the flirtiest, most social and found to have the most forward men -- perhaps due to the country's rich and open heritage that blends both eastern and western cultures and traditions, where people are looking to meet others with similar interests
Turkey, Italy and France led the world as the most flirtatious countries -- likely due to Europe's long-standing, open attitude towards love and romance
The U.K. and the U.S. had the most forward women -- which may be linked to strong, independent and empowered female populations
