Goldman, UBS, Macquarie Also Among the Top-Ranked Firms With the Most Promising Newcomers
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/11 -- Morgan Stanley and Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. tie for first place with the most analysts dubbed Rising Stars of Wall Street Research, according to participants in the 2011 All-America Research Team® survey.

The two firms each have nine analysts designated among the most promising newcomers -- that is, equity analysts who've been publishing research for less than three years. Goldman, Sachs & Co. comes in second, with seven analysts on the roster. Rounding out the top five are UBS, with five Rising Stars, and Macquarie Securities, with four.
The Rising Stars of Wall Street Research is a component of the All-America Research Team®, Institutional Investor's annual ranking of the nation's best equity analysts. As part of that survey, participants are asked to identify the newcomers who seem destined for greater glory.
This year the magazine received responses to the Rising Stars question from more than 2,000 voters at nearly 775 firms, or roughly 78 percent of the institutions that participated in the broader All-America Research Team® survey. Firms that responded to this question manage $9.2 trillion, or 72.4 percent of the $12.7 trillion market capitalization of the MSCI U.S. index at the time of polling.
