Archean Star Announces a Diamond Drill Program Has Commenced at Gnaweeda
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/11 -- Archean Star Resources Inc. ("Archean" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ASP) announces that diamond drilling has commenced on the Turnberry zone at the Gnaweeda Gold Project ("Gnaweeda") at Meekatharra in the Murchison Gold District, Western Australia.
The Company anticipates that six diamond drill holes will be completed at both the Turnberry and Bunarra Central zones prior to the Christmas break. The Turnberry diamond drill holes are step outs from diamond drill hole TB003 on the southernmost of the three earlier identified higher grade gold zones within the main 2.5 km x 750 m Turnberry zone, where the Company intersected 3 meters grading 8.27 g/t Au and 22 meters grading 2.46 g/t Au.
Drill cores will be logged, split, and submitted for assays on a hole by hole basis. Assay results will be released as received.
Archean Star Resources Inc. is a junior exploration company that, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Archean Star Resources Australia Pty Ltd, has entered into an Option Agreement, subject to a 75% back in right, to earn 100% of Teck Australia Pty Ltd's interest in Chalice Gold Mines Limited's Gnaweeda Gold Project in West Australia. Kent Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE: KEX) with approximately 10,000,000 shares, or 35% of the outstanding common shares, is the controlling shareholder of Archean.
