(Thomson Reuters ONE) - OUTOTEC OYJ PRESS RELEASE DECEMBER 2, 2009 10.00 AMOutotec to deliver thickening technology to Toromocho project in PeruOutotec has been awarded a contract by Minera Chinalco Perú for thesupply of a thickening technology for Toromocho's greenfield copperproject in Peru. The contract value is approximately EUR 11 million.Outotec's scope includes design, fabrication and delivery of fourOutotec® Paste Thickeners, each 43 meters of diameter. The thickenersfeature Outotec Vane Feedwell(TM) technology and concentric shearthinning systems. The technology package also includes sixconcentrate thickeners of various diameters and spare parts forstart-up and commissioning. The deliveries will take place by the endof 2010.Toromocho has significant mineral reserves. Minera Chinalco's newmine will have an estimated annual capacity of 250,000 tonnes ofcopper concentrate with molybdenum and silver by-products."This contract is a great example of Outotec's ability to deliverpaste thickeners and shear thinning devices, combined with Outotec'svast expertise in modular structures.
