Christopher Potts, Ph.D. Appointed to Relevant Data Corp Scientific Board of Advisors
(firmenpresse) - DANVERS, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/30/11 -- Relevant Data Corp, developer of a proprietary analytics platform, announced today that Christopher Potts, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Stanford University, has joined their Scientific Advisory Board.
Professor Potts will assist the company in developing and bringing to market Relevant Data platform technology, which incorporates a patented search engine, unique artificial intelligence, and sentiment analysis in order to provide real-time analytics.
He is a world-renowned specialist in linguistics, sentiment analysis and expressive content. Professor Potts has received multiple grants including the Office of Naval Research, the National Science Foundation, Army Research Office Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative, the University of Massachusetts and the Humanities Research Council of Canada.
A published author, he has contributed to more than 50 international publications in the field of linguistics and has been a primary lecturer at numerous University symposiums since 2002. He serves on numerous editorial boards and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Linguistic Society of America since 2009.
In addition to Stanford University, professor Potts has taught at the University of Massachusetts and St. Petersburg State University. Dr. Potts received his BA, (summa cum laude), from New York University, his MA from University of California Santa Cruz, and his Ph.D. from UC.
