The Board of Directors of Innov8 Social Media plc (‘Innov8’ or ‘the Company’) are delighted to announce the launch of the Company’s new website which can be found at www.inov8social.com. The site has been designed to promote Innov8 as a market leading social and digital media investor, and will be a forum for the Company to communicate with investors, the investment community and developers or businesses seeking a strategic partner. It also sees the launch of Innov8’s new ‘Portal’ through which applications for funding can be filed. The Directors believe the Portal will act as a great platform for attracting new investment opportunities from young companies and entrepreneurs.
Innov8 was recently listed on the First Quotation Board of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Management see this introduction to the public markets as a platform that the Company can utilise to accelerate its expansion and the growth of its portfolio, through the increased awareness of Innov8, and its investment activities.
The Company was incorporated to predominantly focus on investment in the social and digital media sectors which have experienced a period of unprecedented growth spanning the last decade. The Company has a portfolio of three core investments - Xen, Tangibal Group and Jellybook - operating in a number of exciting subsectors including semantic web 3.0 solutions, social gaming, e-commerce, social data analytics, interactive advertising and gaming and social media technology investment (see our website for more details). Management are looking to expand on the existing portfolio, whether this be through opportunities arising from applications submitted via Innov8’s new Portal or presented to the Directors. The Company are currently undertaking early stage due diligence on two potential investments, and will report on these situations to shareholders as they develop over coming months. It is likely that the majority of investments in the portfolio will be highly complimentary enhancing growth and enabling efficiencies to be leveraged across the group.
Innov8 believe that the investment case for this sector remains highly compelling, despite this period of ongoing uncertainty in the public markets which has seen some of the worst performance in the last decade. Social and digital media investments have demonstrated resilience in the face of current market difficulties. This year has seen the hugely successful IPO’s of social media behemoths LinkedIn and Groupon, exposing unprecedented appetite from the investment community for this asset class.
