Canstar Engages Barry Greene as Exploration Manager
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/11 -- The directors of Canstar Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ROX) are pleased to announce that the Company has engaged Mr. Barry Greene B.Sc., as Exploration Manager. Barry will focus on exploration on the Mary March property in the Buchans area of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Barry is a very experienced exploration geologist with Canadian and International experience and has first hand knowledge of the geology of the Buchans Group rocks, which are the host rocks to the Buchans VMS deposits and the Mary March property. Canstar will be opening an exploration office in Grand Falls-Windsor from which Barry will operate. Grand Falls-Windsor is the regional business and service center for central Newfoundland and is less than a one hour drive to the Mary March property.
Canstar is planning to resume exploration on the Mary March and adjacent properties as soon as feasible in the New Year. This follows a long standing legal dispute on the property which was recently settled with reinstatement of title to Canstar and Xstrata. Exploration will consist of drilling and an airborne geophysical survey to define other additional targets
Previous drilling that occurred on the property in 1999 - 2000, produced some of the highest grade mineralization in the Buchans area outside the Buchans Mine, including 10.33% zinc, 1.62% lead, 0.66% copper, 118 grams/ton silver and 4.11 grams/ton gold over 9.23 metres.
