(Thomson Reuters ONE) - The Dutch Central Judiciary Account Collection Agency (Dutch acronym:CJIB) has selected Ordina for the development of ICT services. TheCJIB is a dynamic organisation that is currently undergoing majorchanges, one of which is the broadening of its services for thecollection of accounts for the government. In support of thisexpanding workload, Ordina will help the Agency to further developits ICT activities. This master agreement has a duration of at leastthree years and strengthens Ordina's position in the public sector.The CJIB is best known for its activities in the collection oftraffic fines. But the Agency also recovers fines imposed by a Courtand collects Court-ordered payments of damages and payments underconfiscation orders. In the latter case, a Court has ruled that aconvicted person enjoyed income from committing an offence. The CJIBthen recovers any income enjoyed.The CJIB is expecting growth as it will broaden its activities toinclude collection services for other government bodies over the nextfew years. In order to facilitate this growth, the Agency plans tofurther automate and standardise its own processes. Ordina will helpthe CJIB in reaching these goals."The CJIB will have to process a growing number of activities", saidMichiel van Lopik, Market Director Public at Ordina. "I am not onlyreferring to the duties the Agency performs for the Ministry ofJustice or the Public Prosecution Service, but also to the potentialfurther increase in collection and recovery activities for othergovernment bodies. With this in mind, the internal ICT structure andthe internal processes will have to be adjusted to be able toaccommodate all these services efficiently.
