Heijmans acquires two new contracts valued at over ? 34 million

Heijmans' subsidiary Burgers Ergon was contracted by BAM Non-residential
Building to install the electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and
sprinkler systems in support of the redevelopment of the Roeterseiland
educational complex in Buildings A and B/C of the University of Amsterdam. The
total contract is valued at over ? 21 million. Burgers Ergon will assume
responsibility for the supply and assembly of the systems, as well as their
delivery in an operational state. The project is divided into phases. The first
phase is scheduled for completion in November 2013, the second in 2015.
In addition, Heijmans will undertake the modernization of the Village of
Bilthoven's railway station area under contract to ProRail. The contract for
this project is valued at ? 13 million. Construction will start in mid-2012, and
comprises a railway underpass for vehicular traffic, and an underpass for
cyclists and pedestrians. This brings the removal of the railway crossing on the
Soestdijkseweg and a new look for Bilthoven's railway station and its
surroundings a step closer. Inconvenience during construction will be curtailed
to the maximum possible extent: Bilthoven's station and its centre will remain
accessible during construction.
