GERRY WEBER Retail segment: Sales revenues up 22% on previous year in first
month of new fiscal year 2011/2012.
In November 2011, the Retail segment of the GERRY WEBER Group generated
sales revenues of EUR 19.3 million, which represents a 22% increase on the
same period of the previous year.
The like-for-like Houses of GERRY WEBER also reported a positive trend.
Following two months in which like-for-like sales were below the prior year
level, the core operations in Germany reported a 2% increase. Moderate
growth was achieved in this segment also in Spain.
'The Spanish market has shown a positive trend in the past year. We have
confidence in this market, which is also reflected in our expansion
activities,' said Managing Director Ralf Weber. Two new branches were
opened in Spain in November 2011 - one in Toledo and one in Orihuela, in
the south-east of Spain between Alicante and Murcia.
