"When Gord Hicks, Co-Chair of the Leaders for the Cure, asked me to join the Board, I immediately said yes. What an honour to be asked to participate in such an important cause", adds Jon Taylor. In 2012, Govan Brown will be spearheading several initiatives on behalf of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of Ontario to raise monies towards finding a cure. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1986 and is the leading national volunteer-based organization in Canada. Breast cancer among Canadian women is increasing rapidly; an average of 445 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada each week.
In 2010, Govan Brown raised $70,000 through various initiatives in support of breast cancer.
