CMMI® models are developed by product teams with members from industry, government, and SEI. CMMI® Level 3 Rating for development is a widely recognized industry standard of excellence in software engineering, meeting the rigorous standards of the Carnegie Mellon Institute of Software Engineering. It is also a globally recognized benchmark for software development.
Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute has conducted studies demonstrating that organizations using CMMI-DEV in their process improvement programs achieve improved customer satisfaction, increased quality, more accurate schedules, lower development costs, substantial return on investment and improved employee morale and reduced turnover.
