SilverCrest AIPS Enables an Integrated Implementation of Universal Design, Green Design and Safety Measures

The spreadsheet is available on the SilverCrest Edge on January 1, 2012 .
Developed by Mary Jo Saavedra, SilverCrest Edge co-founder, and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), the AIPS spreadsheet is a map guiding consumers, designers, marketers, consultants, real estate agents and product developers through the industry standard as created by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). While the NAHB standards are available, AIPS provides a simplified and an enhanced multi-system integration for product and service applications that complement the homebuilders and remodelers standards. The SilverCrest Edge AIPS spreadsheet expands on the NAHB standards by including a "green" features list, an ADA or Disability features list, Alzheimer's features and the American Red Cross preparedness list.
