HP Awarded U.S. General Services Administration Connections II Contract for Telecommunications Services
(firmenpresse) - PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- HP Enterprise Services (NYSE: HPQ) today announced it has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as one of 21 vendors to provide federal agency sponsored buildings and campuses with telecommunications infrastructure services and products under the Connections II contract.
The Connections II multiple-award contract offers comprehensive network services that support the integration of telecommunications, networking and applications to meet equipment, labor, building and campus infrastructure needs. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a $5 billion ceiling and a base of three years and three months, with six one-year options.
HP will provide solutions in communications, IT infrastructure services, networking, operations and maintenance, as well as customer service, building and campus facility preparation, and technical support to U.S. federal agencies. Additionally, HP has assembled a team of leading service providers, including nine small businesses, to support the GSA contract.

The GSA Connections II contract replaces Connections I, which is scheduled to conclude in January 2012. Currently, HP provides telecommunications and network services under GSA Connections I and the Networx contract vehicle.
