Solid Gold Drilling Continues at Lake Abitibi
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/22/11 -- Solid Gold Resources Corp. ("Solid Gold") (TSX VENTURE: SLD) reports that hearing for the Wahgoshig First Nation motion seeking to delay drilling at Solid Gold's Lake Abitibi property was held on December 20, 2011.
The thrust of the First Nation's action appears to be an effort to establish the power to deny resource companies access to crown land absent the First Nation's consent, Stated Darryl Stretch, President of Solid Gold.
The hearing was extensive and ran into the evening. The court indicated that a decision was not likely to be made until the end of January 2012.
Drilling continues in the area of the SG 09 discovery where high grade gold was discovered earlier this year.
