TPG Offers Free Stability and Performance Check for Microsoft Project Servers until 31 October 2009
TPG The Project Group’s remote analysis comes with
summary and recommendations
TPG The Project Group, a full-service provider of enterprise-wide project management (EPM) based on Microsoft Project Server, announced today that it is offering its TPG SystemHealthCheck until 31 October 2009 free of charge. As a special initiative, administrators can book a free evaluation of their Microsoft Project Server systems and the associated SharePoint environment. The analysis is conducted remotely by a TPG specialist working with the system administrator. As a result of the two-hour analysis, the administrator receives a two-page overview summarizing the current status of his or her Microsoft EPM system. The report, complete with recommendations, helps administrators to identify any critical areas and decide whether to make changes to ensure the system’s stability and performance. The free TPG SystemHealthCheck is available worldwide to all companies running Microsoft EPM solutions.

(firmenpresse) - The TPG SystemHealthCheck helps Microsoft Project Server customers protect their system from a loss of performance or even – in the worst case – a system failure. These incidents can incur significant costs to a business while affecting user acceptance. Using LiveMeeting, the administrator enables a TPG specialist to access and evaluate the Microsoft EPM system and its associated SharePoint environment. The expert conducts a number of tests, including analyzing error logs; checking installed updates; reviewing settings for the overall system and for the backup and archiving solution; and running performance tests. The customer’s system can continue to operate during the TPG SystemHealthCheck with no disruption or impact on productivity. The two-page test result contains an overview of the findings and concrete recommendations for action. The administrator can then decide what to do about any deficiencies found.
“In the past, we used to set up a system analysis via LiveMeeting with new customers who contacted us about issues with their Microsoft Project Server installations. In most cases we were able to detect the source of the problem rapidly,” says Martin Hespe, Senior Consultant at TPG The Project Group. The experience prompted the company to turn this capability into a product – the TPG SystemHealthCheck – to help customers to prevent issues before they impact performance. The TPG SystemHealthCheck provides Microsoft Project Server customers with added value and long-term stability for their project management infrastructure.
