Intercultural Train-The-Trainer: My experiences

Impressions of the Stöger&Partner IBT/M Training Programme.

(firmenpresse) - As the market in training is generally well filled, it is more important than ever to equip oneself with Unique Selling Points; to be "a cut above the rest". The IBT/M programme doubtlessly achieves this.
The rich and varied content, in a logical sequence, builds up on existing moderation skills and installs an intercultural awareness to such a level that I now feel more than confident in tackling pretty much any intercultural training.
What the course does not do is to simply provide a standard list of basic cultural differences. These are available in multiple publications and can simply be read at ones leisure. What the course does do is to develop a genuine appreciation of the depth of intercultural differences, what can make people different, dealing with and avoiding clichés and provides one with valuable tools to be able to impart this awareness to participants in a varied and interesting way during training sessions.
A huge advantage of this training is the real hands-on practical approach where appropriate and valuable constructive feedback on ones own training / moderating skills. The opportunity to not only develop and try out new learning activities in the group, but also as a central part of examination, to create, develop and present an entire intercultural training seminar, with more than valuable feedback was of immense use.
The trainers impressed me with their genuine feel and in-depth knowledge of the fields and processes covered, contributing a vital part to the success of the training.
Apart from any more than evident professional advantages I have gained from the programme, I feel I am personally in a better position to appreciate, without judging the wonderful spectrum of different peoples we share our planet with.
