Torque limiter for direct drives
(PresseBox) - The safety coupling of the SKB-KP series has been used for mechanical protection of drive units for decades. It has proven its effectiveness in hundreds of applications, especially as collision protection in the feed axes of machine tools. The flexible, backlash-free safety coupling of the SKB-KP series is a combination of metal bellows servo couplings and the unique JAKOB safety coupling mechanism. The compensation of misalignments, low residual forces, a low moment of inertia and an accurate transmission of the torque due to the high torsional rigidity are the salient properties of this type of coupling. The torque setting range is between 0.5 and 3000 Nm.
