Especially for the BMW R 18 developed Ape Hanger in high design. A well-made Ape Hanger always follows the front fork and deviates - if at all - only slightly from its line. The length of the front fork and the height also follow balanced proportions.
The sometimes absurd shapes of Ape Hangers, which can be admired from time to time, but which are good for nothing except show effect, impair handling and riding safety to a great extent - this is true on the highway, but even more so on winding country roads or in towns. That's why Wunderlich presents here a version of the stylish Ape Hanger that is perfectly proportioned, supports safe handling and offers a pleasantly upright seating position.
The concise handlebar made of inch-long, high-quality chrome-plated precision steel tubing gives the Big Boxer an unprecedented, unique appearance. The ends of the handlebars are ergonomically aligned so that the R 18 rider always has his weighty boxer under control, when riding, but especially when manoeuvring.
Wunderlich handlebar BEACH BAR
Wunderlich has developed this Beach Bar handlebar especially for the BMW R 18. Its grip ends are ergonomically aligned towards the Rider. With its moderate rise, it gives the big boxer a strikingly powerful appearance. The Beach Bar is not only easy to ride, it also offers safe handling and a comfortable riding position.
The handlebars, made of inch-long, high-quality chrome-plated precision steel tubing, give the Big Boxer a new, unique, casual look. This keeps the R 18 under control at all times, when riding and also when manoeuvring.
Wunderlich handlebar DRAG BAR
The third Wunderlich handlebar called Drag Bar is ideal for sporty BMW R 18 conversions. Its name is inspired by the drag strip on which brutal acceleration races are held. The big torque of the big boxer and the pull on the handlebars can best be tamed with a "bar": With the Drag Bar handlebar! It gives the Big Boxer a sporty, powerful appearance. The DRAG BAR handlebar is not only perfect to ride, it also offers secure handling and a forward-leaning, sporty riding position. The ends of the handlebars are minimally cranked towards the rider for ergonomic reasons.
