Join the 2025 Duisburg "China Festival"! Jiangsu Tourism (Germany) Promotion Center Invites You to Appreciate the Charm of Jiangsu

(firmenpresse) - With the in-depth advancement of cultural exchanges between China and Germany, the "China Festival", launched in 2010, has not only become a shining brand for China-Germany people-to-people and cultural exchanges but also a highly anticipated traditional cultural event among local residents. As Germany’s largest China-related cultural festival, it is jointly hosted on a rotating basis by three cities: Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Duisburg.

Jiangsu Province and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) formally established a sister province-state relationship in 1988, and this partnership has spanned over three decades. Based on economic and trade cooperation, the two sides have gradually expanded their collaboration from economy, trade, culture, and education to emerging fields such as industrial digitalization, electric vehicles, and renewable energy. This all-dimensional and multi-level cooperation model continuously injects vibrant momentum from sub-national cooperation into their strategic partnership, making it a model of cross-border mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.

As a key initiative of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to implement its global cultural and tourism promotion strategy and deepen its presence in the European market, the Jiangsu Tourism (Germany) Promotion Center has shouldered the mission of "bringing Jiangsu’s culture and tourism to Germany, and letting Europe witness the beauty of 'Jiangsu: The Rhythm of Water'" since its establishment. From September 19 to 21, 2025, the 3-day 2025 Duisburg "China Festival" will be held at the Theater am Marientor. Leveraging this important platform that connects the hearts of the Chinese and German people, the Jiangsu Tourism (Germany) Promotion Center will deeply integrate into the cultural booth section of the 2025 Duisburg "China Festival". It will condense Jiangsu’s natural landscapes (rivers, lakes, and seas), ancient garden towns, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) techniques, and modern cultural and tourism vitality into every cultural and tourism pamphlet that embodies Jiangsu’s charm, as well as every vivid on-site explanation.



In addition, during the Duisburg "China Festival", a series of rich activities will be held, including splendid cultural performances, kung fu experience and demonstrations, and traditional cultural booths. The Jiangsu Tourism (Germany) Promotion Center will also interact and communicate with on-site residents, answer their questions about tourism in Jiangsu, and provide professional tourism consultation services for those interested in traveling to Jiangsu, helping more German people embark on a wonderful journey to Jiangsu.

We look forward to taking this as a starting point to make the brand impression of "Jiangsu: The Rhythm of Water" take deep root in the German market: to let more German friends know that in the distant East, there is a land that combines natural beauty and cultural charm; to make "traveling to Jiangsu" a new choice for German people to explore China; and more importantly, to let culture and tourism serve as a link, promoting the two sides to move more steadily and further along the path of cultural mutual learning and people-to-people bond.
