Celestial Green Ventures Plc ('9CG') has this week taken the first steps in
becoming the leading global producer of carbon credits by listing on the
Deutsche Boerse.
Celestial Green: founded by Ciaran Kelly and Dieter Huhne, has collated
contracts entitling them to produce any type of carbon credit on close to
20m hectares (a land mass the size of Switzerland and Austria) in the
Brazilian Amazon for the next 30 years. .
Working in tandem with local landowners and municipalities, Celestial Green
aims to become the leading global provider of REDD (reducing emissions
through deforestation and degradation) carbon credits.
By pursuing its listing Celestial Green is gaining access to global
financial markets which will enable the company to rapidly roll out the
production of credits across the current portfolio and allow the Company to
double the size of their contract base to 40m hectares.
Close to 4m hectares of the Celestial Green contract base are in the
validation process. Celestial Green is currently pursuing a forward sales
strategy in relation to these credits. With REDD carbon credits currently
trading at over $10 this will enable Celestial to execute on its strategy
and provide ethical, reliable and solid cash-flow based returns to
investors.
Celestial Green aims to raise EUR5m by issuing new stock to the market
enabling it to pursue its ambitions of becoming the leading global producer
of carbon credits from REDD.
