Merlin International Awarded National Data Center Program Storage Infrastructure Implementation for Storage Solutions
(firmenpresse) - VIENNA, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/04/12 -- (), a leading IT solutions provider to the U.S. federal government, today announced it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for the National Data Center Program (NDCP).
The proposed NDCP storage and back-up solution will simplify management, reduce costs, improve reliability, provide consistency of data storage equipment to simplify support and maintenance, and improve operational efficiencies. In short, the VA will be able to do more with fewer support staff and less storage -- which means less cost, while ensuring the integrity of ISTdata through robust virtualization, replication and backup capabilities.
