A fresh breeze for German wind expert advisory board
Sylvia Schubert was elected as Vice Chairperson
(PresseBox) - Last November Sylvia Schubert - wind specialist of BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB) ? was elected as Vice Chairperson of the wind expert advisory board of the Federal Association for Wind Energy (BWE e.V). In that position she follows her boss Klaus Bergmann who performed this function during the past years. Accordingly Bergmann is very proud of his employee: ?Her expertise and her sense of quality in the field of wind resource evaluation, which is highly appreciated in our company, will be a benefit for the association work as well?.
The wind expert advisory board is a committee, where companies which are accredited for the definition of wind potential and energy yields are organized with the aim of increasing the quality of wind assessments. The 30-year-old Schubert, who is working for three years in BBB?s accredited testing laboratory in Weiden (Oberpfalz), represents a change of generation in the advisory board.
Beside her professional activities the graduated geographer passed the postgraduate program specializing in ?wind energy technology and management? at the ForWind-Academy in Oldenburg in 2011. As a successfully performing woman in the male-dominated wind industry she is a shining example for the urgently needed future generation of female engineering professionals.
