Construction Writers Association (CWA) to Host Networking Reception at World of Concrete 2012
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 01/06/12 -- The will host a networking reception for construction journalists and marketing communications professionals in January at "World of Concrete 2012" in Las Vegas, Nev.
The CWA event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 in Room N250 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. CWA hosts networking receptions at leading industry exhibitions as an opportunity for its members and guests to network with fellow industry communicators. "These receptions are a great way for CWA members and potential members to meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances," said CWA member Patti Flesher, director of communications, Portland Cement Association. "We're all so busy during the year, and these events are a chance to reconnect on a face-to-face level."
Flesher noted that the CWA receptions are also a great way for potential members to find out more about CWA, its educational services and other networking opportunities. "CWA provides a focused resource to help construction industry communications professionals do their jobs better," she said. "Members have access to invaluable contacts when they need information, and there's also the opportunity to make lasting friendships."
Caterpillar Inc., Hilti, and Portland Cement Association are sponsoring the CWA reception at World of Concrete 2012.
World of Concrete is the industry's annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. "This is one of the first industry trade shows of the year, so it will be an ideal time for attendees to look back at a challenging 2011 and what may be ahead for the industry in 2012," Flesher said.
