And just like the standard digital camera market, the quality of the camera inside a visualiser is defined in megapixels. Generally, more megapixels equal better quality images.
Because a visualiser is essentially a digital camera they almost always have the ability to zoom in on the subject. Typically, there are two types of zoom available; optical zoom and digital zoom. Optical zoom generally produces a better quality image; as the lens closes in on the subject the resolution stays the same. Digital zoom can result in grainy and pixelated images as it takes an existing part of the image and expands upon it, thus reducing the overall resolution.
The visualiser has revolutionised the classroom and quickly become a must have item.
