Cerro Resources NL Grants Stock Options

(firmenpresse) - LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/11/12 -- Cerro Resources NL (the "Cerro") (ASX: CJO)(TSX VENTURE: CJO) announces the grant of 5,250,000 stock options under Cerro's Executive and Staff Option Plan, of which an aggregate of 1,500,000 options was granted to an officer and an investor relations consultant. Subject to certain vesting conditions and TSX Venture acceptance, the options are exercisable at $0.17 and are valid until December 31, 2014.

The Company is currently focused on Mexico where it is developing the Cerro del Gallo gold/silver project in the central state of Guanajuato, Mexico, actively exploring the Namiquipa silver project in northern Mexico, and commencing exploration on the Espiritu Santo gold/silver project in Jalisco.
