Space Foundation Names AGI's STK a Certified Educational Product
(firmenpresse) - EXTON, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/12/12 -- AGI today announced that its software has become a Certified Educational Product of the Space Foundation. Already a Space Foundation Certified Space Technology, STK was added to the Certified Educational Product category for its use in the Space Foundation Discovery Institute's (SFDI) AGI Space Missions Simulator in Colorado Springs, CO.
In 2010, AGI donated software, licensing and new computer equipment valued at more than $3 million to establish the SFDI education lab, which simulates launch, flight and landing of a variety of space missions. In the lab, students and teachers learn about and design their own satellite orbits, track their satellites and help plan a simulated return mission from Mars.
