Calgary Food Bank: Official Wrap-Up of 2011 Mayor's Food Drive
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/13/12 -- The Mayor's 23rd Annual Christmas Food Drive has come to a conclusion. The elves have been busy weighing the food and counting donations and the results are in!
Mayor Naheed Nenshi will be in attendance and have the honors of announcing this year's totals and present St Margaret School with a plaque recognizing them as the winner of the first annual Can Creation Contest.
The Can Creation Contest gave students an opportunity to build a "creation" out of the food that they had collected for the Mayor's Food Drive. A guest panel of judges visited each school participating to evaluate their Creation. This year St Margaret School won and was given the opportunity to host the Mayor at their school to announce the 2011 totals. Check out pictures of the 2011 Can Creation at .
