Boston Micromachines Announces New Low Price for MEMS Deformable Mirror Systems to Make Adaptive Optics More Affordable
New Price Lowers Barrier to Entry for Adaptive Optics Systems

The new pricing structure represents the lowest prices available for complete deformable mirror solutions with 32 and 140 actuators.
Boston Micromachines' award-winning suite of MEMS DMs is used to improve resolution in microscopes, telescopes, and ophthalmic instruments.

The compact and affordable Mini-DM is ideal for low order wavefront control. Its mirror surface is controlled by 32 electrostatic actuators which are individually commanded to achieve a desired shape. The Mini-DM is available in both continuous and segmented surfaces for adaptive optics or spatial light modulator applications. Mini-DM pricing now starts at $5,000.
The Multi-DM offers sophisticated aberration compensation in an easy-to-use package. With 140 precisely controlled elements and low inter-actuator coupling, this system is ideal for a broad range of applications including microscopy, , and . The high speed, high precision drive electronics are easily controlled via USB or CameraLink interface. The DM is available in both continuous and segmented surfaces for adaptive optics or spatial light modulator applications. Multi-DM pricing now starts at $15,000.
