The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, held roundtable discussions with members of various Korean War Veterans groups while in the Vancouver area today.

"I am honoured to have had the chance to hear first-hand from these Korean War Veterans groups in Vancouver," said Minister Blaney. "By holding roundtable discussions, our Government is listening to the concerns of our Veterans and their families."

Groups included representatives from the Korean War Commemorative Alliance, Korean Veterans Association and the Korean War Memorial.

"As I travel across the country and meet with various Veterans groups, I am able to receive the necessary feedback I need to better serve our nation's heroes," said Minister Blaney. "Our Government will continue to work hard to ensure our Veterans have the care and support they need."

Minister Blaney was in Richmond earlier in the day hosting the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation ceremony. The Minister presented the Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation to thirteen individuals from British Columbia who have made a lasting difference in the lives of our Veterans.
