Crasche New York Launches New Line of Protective Head Gear
Hats Provide Both Safety and Style to Those Who Refuse to Wear Helmets

(firmenpresse) - WOODBURY, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/12 -- Crasche™ New York has announced a new line of protective head gear that can help protect one's head while, at the same time, still look fashionable.
The Crasche hat is ideal for people who should wear a helmet, but do not. It can be worn by skiers, snowboarders, bicyclists, hikers, skateboarders, roller bladers and for athletes in other sports who usually do not wear helmets, such as girls lacrosse, girls field hockey and touch football. It can also be used by those who are in law enforcement and in the military for situations where head protection would be beneficial, but a helmet may not be practical.
The concept came from the hat's designer, Robert Emmett, who took a serious spill while bicycling. He was not wearing a helmet at the time, but, fortunately, he landed on the grass. "I knew then it was time to get a helmet, but I never did," he said. "Instead, I decided to create a hat that would offer some impact protection, but would have enough style so that people like me would wear it. Not only do Crasche hats help protect your head, but they're cool to wear as well."
Crasche hats can also be used to ward off the elements, especially during the cold-weather months. They are machine-washable and the protective inserts can be easily removed and re-inserted. The hats can be worn with or without the protective inserts. In addition, all Crasche hats are made in America.
