"It's a great honor to be recognized for the work we do with our clients,"
said Harry West, Continuum's CEO. "These awards shine a spotlight on design
that makes peoples' lives better. The Leverage Freedom Chair is a
high-performance wheelchair designed to help disabled people in developing
countries, and the Preserve Toothbrush Mail-Back Pack is the first
toothbrush packaging system that makes it easy for consumers to recycle.
Two very different products: one addresses the extreme and one the mundane,
but both demonstrate how Continuum brings innovation to how people truly
live."

The Good Design Award is one of the world's leading standards for design
excellence. Organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and
Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban
Studies, the Good Design awards recognizes designers and manufacturers for
advancing new, visionary and innovative product concepts, invention and
originality, and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered
ordinary product and consumer design.

For the BUNN Phase Brew coffee maker, Continuum created an elegant, simple
and iconic "see-through" architecture that differentiates the product on
the retail shelf and references the unique capability and performance of
the technology within. There's no other coffee maker quite like it.

"Continuum wove the commercial heritage of BUNN into the design of the new
Phase Brew HT/HG, seamlessly tying it together with a compelling user
experience," said, Scott Mazzini, Vice President Product Management with
BUNN. "The result is an iconic-looking coffee maker that produces quality
coffee unlike any other, offering users the best brewing experience
possible."

The red dot design award dates back to 1955 and is now one of the world's
largest and most distinguished product competitions. Continuum helped MIT's
Mobility Lab envision the Leveraged Freedom Chair, a high-performance
wheelchair designed to help the disabled in developing countries. In these
regions, navigating rough terrain can be particularly challenging for a
disabled person. The result of inspired design, the Leverage Freedom Chair
has variable speed controls just like high or low gears on a mountain bike,
moving 34% faster on flat ground and at 53% higher torque on rough terrain.
Even more important, it provides a newfound sense of emotional independence
to individuals using the chair.
