GPXS/ISEC7 Merger has been suspended
AMSTERDAM/HAMBURG, Tuesday 28, October 2008 ‐ GPXS Holding Ltd., the parent company of GPXS™, a leading global smartphone software, services, and training provider, and ISEC7, a worldwide operating BlackBerry® Alliance Member and full service center provider, today announced that the definite agreement to acquire ISEC7 from May 2008 has been suspended. The worldwide financial market crisis and its economic impact made it impossible to adhere to the agreed terms and timing roadmap.
(firmenpresse) - As a result, both companies will continue to strengthen their market position separately as independent entities and will commit to do joint business as preferred partners of one another.
Both leadership teams believe that the current worldwide market situation requires the full attention of leadership of both companies to manage current business opportunities and refine product and distribution strategies based on the new market realities. The time consuming acquisition and consolidation processes will detract leadership attention from the primary task of good stewardship of each company during this challenging time.
Both leadership teams believe strongly in the logic of combining the two companies and do not regret their decision back in May to merge GPXS and ISEC7. “We made this decision together with GPXS in best interest for our customers, our partners, and our employees.”, said Roger Dost and Marco Gocht, founders of ISEC7. “As strategic business partner, we will build strong portfolio offerings and customer relationships to strengthen both market leaderships.”
