Notice of Claim on the Crown

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/24/12 -- Solid Gold Resources Corp. ("Solid Gold") (TSX VENTURE: SLD) reports that it has served Notice of Claim against Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario.

The company has served a notice of claim against Ontario. Under the Proceedings Against the Crown Act a formal Statement of Claim cannot be issued until a 60-day hold period has expired.

Solid Gold will allege that Ontario is liable for losses suffered by the company.

Business of Solid Gold Resources Corp.

Solid Gold is a junior mining exploration and development company, which controls a +/-200-square-kilometer prospect hosting potential for discovery of economic mineralization at Lake Abitibi near the Porcupine Fault zone in Northern Ontario.
