Appian Enhances Appian Academy BPM Certification Program
Online Exams Certify Expertise in Appian Business Process Management Software Skills and Best Practices
(firmenpresse) - RESTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/25/12 -- Appian, the global innovator in enterprise and cloud-based (BPM) software, today announced significant enhancements to the Appian Certification Program available as part of its training services. Certification exams are now being made available online via the community site, and Appian Forum will feature a process for querying the certification status of other community members. Appian is also rolling out new certification tracks.
The purpose of the Appian Certification Program is to allow individuals to demonstrate they have the required skills to successfully deliver Appian applications with high quality and according to Appian best practices. Current certification tracks include:
certifies that participants have a thorough understanding of process applications in the Appian environment, including designing the application, data types, process models, forms, reports and dashboards. The exam includes concepts covered in the Appian Essentials, Appian Process Design and Advanced Appian Process Design training courses. This exam is immediately available on Appian Forum.
certifies that participants have the breadth and depth of skills and knowledge necessary to work on complex development tasks with the Appian BPM platform. This exam tests knowledge of developing Appian Smart Services Plugins, Function Plugins, Servlet Plugins and RESTful Web Service plugins. This exam will be available on Appian Forum shortly.
Appian is also rolling out new certification tracks, including:
certifies that participants have the experience and understanding to deliver an Appian BPM project from inception to delivery and beyond with high quality, on schedule and meeting all customer requirements. This exam tests the participant's understanding of requirements gathering, risk management, project planning, and organizational change management.
certifies that participants have a deep understanding across a wide range of Appian architectural, development and BPM concepts. Participants are also required to have demonstrated technical and leadership skills.
Prior to taking an Appian certification exam, an individual must have completed the appropriate Appian Academy training, and must have the required project experience. All requests to take a certification exam must be approved by the Appian Center of Excellence before an exam is assigned. Upon successful completion of the exam, Appian will award a PDF certificate that includes the user's name and the certification date and type.
