SEER Resort Company executives participated in the Stone Laying Ceremony and Public Hearing for their Nanjing based client's new project in China's Jinhu County. The area is known for its pristine water resources and the project site is a tourist destination that is protected as an ecological reserve for the Lotus Flower.
Over 480,000 square meters of new resort construction is being designed by SEER for A&C Hotel & Resort Company, and will be sold primarily in the Nanjing market. The planning and schematic design work is being completed in Vancouver and Whistler.
The A&C Hotel & Resort Company is a development company based in Nanjing that is planning a network of similar projects in areas in China that have unique cultural, environmental and recreation qualities. Each resort will have a four star hotel, spa, meeting facilities, restaurants with condominiums and fractional real estate for sale.
A&C's first resort project is adjacent to Maoshan Mountain which became a famous mountain of Taoism as early as 153 BC. This area is ranked as a top tourist destination and one of the key national Taoist temples in China. A&C's resort opened for Chinese New Year on January 23, 2012.
The SEER Resort Company is a resort design and management consulting company based in Vancouver, Canada. Cooperating with SEER for this project is the Benssen Design Group also of Vancouver. The SEER team brings extensive resort design and operations knowledge to A&C and an established track record of resort projects in China.
In engaging SEER for this project A&C is seeking to bring quality western planning and design to their second project. SEER is particularly excited by this project as A&C is one of the exceptional resort developers which is breaking the mould in China by integrating all aspects of the resort development and operations with the experience and knowledge that has evolved in Canada, the United States and Europe.
