(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 01/27/12 -- Atlantic Recording artist Tank eagerly unveils details of his upcoming tour, dubbed "The Couples Retreat Tour," kicking off on February 10th in Raleigh, NC. The 8-city tour comes on the heels of the release of the R&B powerhouse's new single, "Next Breath," which was released earlier this month with a companion video on the way. What's more, "Next Breath," is the first offering from the acclaimed R&B singer/songwriter's new album, "SAVIOR," due out in the Spring and is currently available at all DSPs now:
On top of all this excitement, Tank has been confirmed to perform at the 2012 Essence Music Festival in July. The three day festival, which takes place in New Orleans, also includes the likes of Keyshia Cole, Fantasia, Charlie Wilson, as well as the legendary Mary J. Blige and Aretha Franklin. This marks the second year in a row that Tank will take part in the festival which celebrates contemporary African American music and culture. "SAVIOR" is the follow-up to Tank's 2010 Atlantic Records debut, "NOW OR NEVER," which featured the lead singles "Emergency" and "Sex Music," as well as collaborations with Chris Brown ("Foreplay") and Drake ("Celebration".) Adding to this already exciting list, Tank received a Grammy nomination at last year's ceremony in the "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals" category for his work on Chris Brown's "Take My Time," joining the 8 career nominations that he has to date. In addition to his own music, Tank has also penned and contributed vocals to hits for the likes of Chris Brown, Jamie Foxx and Keri Hilson.
