Karlsruhe, February 7, 2012 - The Provaluta Metallrecycling GmbH, a 100 %
subsidiary company of Provaluta AG (a 83 % holding of Recyc Commodities
SE), reported EUR 12.5 million in revenues for the fiscal year 2011
(01.01.2011 - 31.12.2011) versus EUR 12.2 million for the previous 2010
period; reflecting an increase of approximately 3 %. This resulted in an
after tax profit of roughly EUR 40,000.00.
Provaluta Metallrecycling GmbH's total assets increased from EUR 1.4
million in 2010 to EUR 3.3 million for the fiscal year 2011. The company
also significantly increased its equity-capital base from EUR 214,000 to
EUR 825,000.
Recyc Commodities SE's managing director, Mr Paul Bosmediano, commented:
'We are extremely happy with the developments at Provaluta Metallrecycling
GmbH, which was acquired by Provaluta AG in 2011. In 2012, we will continue
to expand our enormously profitable catalytic converter recycling business
and further develop our electrical and electronic waste recycling
operations, step by step. We see enormous growth potential in the
recycling of electrical and electronic waste in the coming years due to
stronger guidelines within the EU that will result in the mandatory
recycling of electronic waste on a step by step basis of up to 85 % of all
such waste by the year 2019. In addition to this we shall further our
expansion plans, and continue to build our Rhodium stockpile (which is
currently about 40 kg), making use of the favorable market conditions at
hand.'

as Lead, Platinum, Rhodium and Palladium out of scrap metal. Provaluta
Metallrecycling GmbH possesses a modern laboratory with the technology
enabling it to predetermine the existing elements and their amounts in each
catalytic converter, prior to its recycling. Overall, approximately 20
people are involved in the ambitious project 'Save resources by efficient
recycling of metal'; from the purchase, the analysis, the certified
processing, the storage, through to the distribution.
