Fenton Chiropractor Offers Acupuncture to Treat Back Pain, Neck Pain and Headaches

According to Dr. Freihaut, this discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can relieve patients suffering from , neck pain, headaches, fibromyalgia and other ailments. To rebalance the Qi flow, the acupuncturist inserts long, fine needles into points on the skin that correspond to these meridians, with the goal of alleviating pain, relieving stress, and increasing calmness and relaxation.
Dr. Freihaut says that several western medical studies also point towards acupuncture's effectiveness in treating pain, particularly in conjunction with the spinal realignment techniques she also uses in her practice. She says these studies also indicate that the meridians referred to in TCM may correspond to points within the fascia, which is a fibrous network of connective tissues running throughout the body, joining the muscles, blood vessels, nerves, tendons and ligaments.
Dr. Freihaut explains that whenever she feels patients could benefit from her acupuncturist skills, she gives them a complete exam and asks many questions relating to their lifestyles.
