(firmenpresse) - YARMOUTH, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/12 -- Yarmouth Veterinary Center has announced that the provides pet boarding for cats and dogs. For the safety of all boarding guests, each pet must show proof of vaccinations and be on flea/tick prevention medication. In addition to boarding, the clinic also provides routine wellness care services, spay and neuter operations, grooming and emergency care. The Yarmouth pet hospital serves the Brunswick, Falmouth, Freeport, Portland and Cumberland communities.
Dr. Louise LeBoeuf and Dr. Peter Smith, and co-founders of Yarmouth Veterinary Center, announced that their animal hospital offers for cats and dogs.
"Especially over the holidays, we know it can be tough to be away from your pets," said Dr. LeBoeuf. "When you can't bring a pet with you, you can rest easy knowing that your loved one is receiving the best care, attention and exercise here at our animal hospital."
The boarding kennel is part of the clinic's state-of-the-art vet hospital. The hospital originally began as a small, family-run clinic at the vets' home. The new center opened in 2000, featuring a new , animal clinic and boarding facilities.
The vet clinic follows strict sanitation guidelines; routinely disinfecting the facility's sleeping and play areas to keep pets healthy, comfortable and safe. Pets must show proof of vaccinations and be on flea/tick prevention medication prior to admittance.
"We don't take chances with the safety or health of your pets," said Dr. Smith. "We know pets are an important part of your family, and we treat them just like they were our family members, too. We offer plenty of outdoor time for dogs to play under supervision, safe pack building activities, and a quiet place for cats."
The clinic also offers grooming services for pets that are boarding, so pets are looking their best when it's time to go back home to the family. These services include nail trims, dog baths, cat clips and comb outs. The clinic can also provide routine wellness services or oral cleanings during boarding, as desired by pet owners.
"Pet owners choose our vet clinic for boarding because it's more than just a place to leave your pet when you go out of town," said Dr. LeBoeuf. "As a full service vet hospital, we provide all aspects of animal care, so in the event of a health emergency, our team is just steps away from providing lifesaving care for your pet."
"Pets love staying with us for boarding because we make it fun," said Dr. Smith. "And pet owners love it because they know their pets are receiving the best possible care. As veterinarians, we recognize the every pet has a different routine, and we do our best to accommodate dietary requirements and medical needs, providing professional, compassionate and attentive care."
In addition to boarding, the veterinarians provide comprehensive animal care services, including wellness care, surgical care and emergency care.
