Newest e-STUDIO(TM) 556/656/756/856 Monochrome Series Features Built-In SED Technology
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/12 -- Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., a leading managed document services (MDS) provider and MFP innovator, announced today the introduction of its new e-STUDIO™ 556/656/756/856 series. This enhanced MFP series features a patented, built-in 256-bit AES self-encrypting drive (SED) for the utmost in document and data security. The SED technology features Automatic Drive Invalidation that renders the hard drive useless if removed and installed into another device. Data Overwrite comes standard as well, to meet Department of Defense requirements by immediately writing over any data stored on the hard drive during document processing. These features have earned the new e-STUDIO series an exceptional Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level rating of three (EAL3).
The new Toshiba e-STUDIO series features the next generation e-BRIDGE™ platform, that enables simplified third-party integration; color scanning performance of 77 originals-per-minute (opm) or even faster 80 opm in monochrome; image quality up to 2,400 x 600 dots-per-inch print resolution with smoothing; an expanded 9-inch full-color LCD touch screen front panel and an exceptionally high toner yield (73.9K).

The Toshiba e-STUDIO 556/656/756/856 series features copying speeds ranging from 55 to 85 pages per minute (and a first-copy-out speed of less than 3.5 seconds), giving users the ability to choose the model that suits their volume demands without sacrificing features. Each model also features a conveniently-placed USB port near the front of the system that enables users to scan-to or print-from thumb drives or other portable devices.
The e-STUDIO 856 series boasts a monthly duty cycle up to 600,000, a reverse automatic document feeder that holds 100 originals and can be refilled multiple times, and a base unit capacity of 3,600 sheets of paper with an option to double the capacity to 7,600 sheets. A unique service module design streamlines the periodic maintenance process. These models are environmentally friendly being RoHS compliant and ENERGY STAR Tier 2 Rated.
