Luna Gold Announces Shareholder Approval of Share Consolidation

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/12 -- Luna Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: LGC)(LMA: LGC) ("Luna Gold" or the "Company") announces shareholder approval of its proposed five (5) for one (1) consolidation of the Company's common shares (the "Consolidation"). The shareholders of the Company voted in favour of the Consolidation at the shareholder's meeting held today.

Subject to regulatory approval, the Company anticipates to complete the Consolidation on or around February 24, 2012. A detailed press release will be issued with respect to the Consolidation upon its completion.
